CA: Premiere Of Paramounts' Remake Of "The Manchurian Candidate" - ArrivalsI’m certainly glad to be writing about a film version of what is arguably Stephen King’s seminal work, THE DARK TOWER. THE DARK TOWER is a series of eight novels King wrote about a gunslinger, Roland Deschain, as he goes on a journey to find the Dark Tower. Talk of an adaptation of THE DARK TOWER has been circulating Hollywood for years now. The movie project began and Universal and then moved on to Warner Bros. After both studios failed to get the project off the ground, Sony Pictures took the project over, but it hasn’t been having much more luck than those before it. That is, until now.
